Increase in Whooping Cough Prompts Health Advisory
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and Oakland County Health Division are issuing a health advisory following an increase in the number of identified pertussis cases, commonly referred to as whooping cough. Anyone exposed to pertussis and displaying symptoms should be evaluated by a doctor to determine if antibiotics are needed. Infants younger than 12 months are at greatest risk. Please click here to access the Oakland County Health Department Announcement for more information.
Holly Area Schools will be hosting our first ever AdvancED Systems Accreditation Review on February 21st - 23rd. Institutions seeking to gain accreditation must meet AdvancED Standards. These Standards focus on systems within a school and systematic methods of attaining high student performance and organizational effectiveness. As part of the review process, we are collecting input from students, parents, and teachers to help us identify areas of strength and areas in need of improvement.
Your feedback is very important as it will help us focus improvement initiatives to increase the overall quality of Holly Area Schools. The survey can be accessed at the following link: http://eprovesurveys.advanc-ed.org/surveys/#/action/13297/p311
If you do not have access to the internet to complete the survey, we have computers set up near the entrance of the district office at 920 Baird St. in Holly. These computers will be available during normal business hours, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on regular school days. The survey takes approximately 8 - 10 minutes to complete.
We appreciate your participation and thank you for your support.
