Empty Bowls 2017
On April 24, 2017, artists from across the district came together to host our second annual 'Empty Bowls' during the K-12 District Art Show. That evening, over 400 bowls were sold to raise $3,075.00 for Blessings in a Backpack-Holly. This project was made possible thanks to a generous grant awarded to our district by Michigan Youth Arts and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. HAS thanks these organizations for supporting the arts in our Holly community.
Applications will be accepted May 1, 2017 through August 31, 2017 for Young 5's through 12th Grade for the 2017-2018 School Year. Call today or visit our offices to see the many points of pride and award winning programs! Contact the Pupil Services Office at 248.328.3106 with any questions.

Holly Area Schools Awarded AdvancED Systems Accreditation
During the last full week of February, Holly Area Schools was visited by a team of educators from Michigan and other parts of the country as part of an external review process. The team observed instruction in numerous classrooms throughout the district, interviewed school leaders, teachers, administrators, school board members, and stakeholders including parents, students, and community members.
At the end of the site visit, a special board meeting was held to review the external review exit report. District Superintendent Dave Nuss announced at the board meeting that Holly Area Schools earned Systems Accreditation from the AdvancED Accreditation Commission, the national commission that confers the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) accreditation seal. This means that the system and all of its schools are accredited, and that Holly Area Schools is recognized across the nation as a quality school system. Mr. Nuss praised the systems planning team and thanked staff, students, parents, and school board members for their efforts in making Holly Area Schools a wonderful place to learn. Read more....
